We meet on the third Thursday every month in the Barn foyer, from 6pm until approximately 7:30pm. EVERYONE is welcome regardless of your journey. We will be having guest speakers that will be able to help enlighten us as to the different types, stages and treatments of this disease that has become so prevalent in today's world. The Youth and Young Adults of Evangel Temple are teaming up with Embassy of Hope to put on a park outreach at Dickerson Park (Norton Rd right next to the Zoo). Even though it is sponsored by the Youth and Young Adults of ET, all are welcome to join!
We simply want to be a blessing to the families that are there. Some of the ways we plan to do that are:
Socializing with adults
Playing games with children and putting on a story time
Praying over people who have needs
Offering a clothing bank for those who are in need of more clothes
Having a short message given by Pastor Isaac
If you want to be a part of any of these things, you can sign up by clicking the link above or the URL here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KFS7RSM
(Please make sure that you do so that we have an idea of how many volunteers we will have)
All volunteers are to be at Embassy of Hope’s campus at 10:00 AM for a brief training. After that, we will all go to the park together.
Sunday the 28th is Family Sunday AND Buddy Barrel BGMC emphasis day! Please bring your barrels and drop your change in the Buddy buckets available before and after services in the main and west lobbies. (Extra barrels are available from Pastor Amy, or by contacting the ET church office.) As a reminder, all BGMC funds collected by our ET kids will go to the Say Hello: Ministry to Muslim Women. Thank you for your generosity and missions-minded spirit.
Join us for our men's small group on Wednesday, July 24 and Wednesday, July 31 at 6:30pm both nights. Pastor Nick Koth, our Young Adults pastor and contemporary service worship leader, will be sharing each night. This is a great chance for the men at ET to get to know Pastor Nick!
Join us Sunday, June 30th, for our 10:45am Intergenerational Service.
Just one service that day (10:45am) with Sunday School at 9am.
We will also be honoring Pastor Charlie and Lil as they celebrate their 50th year of marriage! A reception and program will follow the service in the Family Life Center, in place of our annual July 4th picnic. The entire church body is invited, and encouraged, to attend this event. The meal will consist of: Ott’s Pasta, Salad, Breadsticks and Desserts. (Standard meal prices apply: $12 for Family, $4 per Adult, $2 per Child/College Student)
This month, the ET Son Seekers will be traveling to the Lead Mine Country Store THIS FRIDAY, for lunch and shopping.
We will meet at ET in the west parking lot and leave at 9:30am (Note Change of Time!).
Lead Mine is located in Tunas, MO, about 15 miles north of Buffalo. This Old Order Mennonite community rarely uses electricity, so bring cash or checks, and don’t bother with cell phones!
It doesn’t feel like it has been a full year since we were last at Chesterfield Family Life Center having our Epic Summer Smash 2018 event, but it was! And now it is time to have it again!
From 6-9PM, while Chesterfield is closed, Evangel Temple has the facility fully rented out to use! Even better — it is completely free for you! This is a church-wide event and an opportunity to introduce friends to the family of Christ at Evangel Temple so invite all your friends and family and join us on June 9th for swimming, rock climbing, basketball, dodgeball, board games, and snacks. There is no need to do anything ahead of time other than spread the word.
We are excited for this event and cant wait to make memories with you that evening.
