Jerene Kay

Jerene Kay directs a ministry entitled The Son Seekers. It is designed to serve the seniors of the local community and Evangel Temple in their search for spiritual security, social interaction and support, mental stimulation and physical well-being. Seniors are an integral part of the church fellowship and are valued for their gifts and life experiences. The Son Seekers are encouraged to be "Rainbow Dreamers" cherishing each day and living each moment-- awake to all God has for them.

Jerene is a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God and holds a Master's Degree in Guidance Counseling from Cleveland State University. She, and her late husband, Ralph L. Kay, were counselors for the Greater Tidewater Area while pastoring Glad Tidings Church in Norfolk, Virginia. She is retired from C & P Telephone Company having served for 33 years, the last 5 years Maintenance Administrator. After moving to Springfield she assumed the position of Chaplain for the Visiting Nurses Hospice Association for over 4 years. Jerene has 3 children: Bruce who lives in Home Lake, Colorado; Mona and her husband Steve live in Springfield; and Sheilia and her husband Jim who are missionaries to China with China Source. Jerene has 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
