Dear God; Part 3: How does Who I pray to effect what I pray to Him about?

Dear God; Part 3: How does Who I pray to effect what I pray to Him about?

In this week’s sermon, we continue our series on prayer. This series has consisted of us looking at the importance of prayer as well as what it practically looks like in our daily lives. We are constantly hearing that prayer is important. But hearing it and even saying it doesn’t always mean that we live like it is true in our daily lives. Our desire is that, through this series, this reality would change and that prayer would become a huge part of each of our lives.

Identities Revealed; Part 10

Identities Revealed; Part 10

In this week’s sermon, we continue our series through the book of Mark. In this series, we have been looking at both the identity of Christ as well as the identity of those who are confronted with the reality of His identity. We believe that as His identity is revealed to us, our identity is also revealed to the world in how we respond. This week, Sam walks through Mark 16:1-8 and addresses the wonder would experience while being in the glory of God.

Identities Revealed; Part 2

Identities Revealed; Part 2

In this week’s sermon, Sam continues our series through the book of Mark. In this series, we have been looking at both the identity of Christ as well as the identity of those who are confronted with the reality of His identity. We believe that as His identity is revealed to us, our identity is also revealed to the world in how we respond. This week, Sam is walking through the story of Jesus healing the lame man in Mark 2:1-12.

Man's Chief Purpose; Part Three: The Second Greatest Commandment

Man's Chief Purpose; Part Three: The Second Greatest Commandment

From Matthew 22:36, Sam talks about the second greatest commandment- to love others. Addressing the question that has been asked for many years, that is why did Jesus give two instead of one, Sam shows that the two are bound and can not be separated. Truly loving God leads to and is manifest loving others. Likewise, if one were to only love others, what reason would he was first loving God?

Apostles' Creed: "From there, He will come to judge the living and the dead."

Apostles' Creed: "From there, He will come to judge the living and the dead."

Through a parablistic story, Sam West offers an encouraging perspective of God's judgment and the salvation from it that is offered only through His Son, Jesus Christ. Though destruction is deserved for all of us, we are offered freedom and pardon from that as we have faith in the One who saves us.
