Small Groups

Acts 2:46-47 says: "Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."

The Small Group Ministry exists to connect people to a growing relationship with Jesus, and support the four core values of Evangel Temple of Worship, Connect, Serve and Invite. As we grow larger on Sundays we want to get "smaller" during the week. This is a great way to grow your understanding of God's Word, build your faith, and meet some wonderful people. It is also a super easy way to invite your neighbors, or God-seekers, or the generally curious people in your life, into the God conversation and see what happens next.

If you would like to get involved as a small group leader, host, or participant fill out the form below.

SMALL GROUPS WILL ABIDE BY THIS CODE OF CONDUCT:

  • Humility – Romans 12:16 "Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all!" We practice humility, because humility means being teachable, and being teachable is good
  • Respectfulness – Proverbs 18:2 "Fools have no interest in understanding. They only want to air their own opinions." We expect small group discussions and interactions to be respectful and courteous.
  • Honesty – 1 John 1:6-7 "…we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth. But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin." Nobody has it all together, so don't be afraid to share your faults, stresses, problems, pressures, troubles you're going through. Do your best to remove the "mask" of perfection. Appearing to others that you have it all together will not inspire anyone.
  • Sympathy – Galatians 6:2 "Help carry each others burdens. In this way you will follow Christ's teaching." God never intended us to bear the full weight of this life alone. God gave us community, the church – our forever family, to help carry that weight with us.
